| Keywords: David Parrish.jpg en David Parrish walked 2000 miles from Spokane Washington to Nashville Tennessee Leaving Spokane Washington on August 1st 2011 and walking for 84 straight days across 9 States Washington Idaho Montana Wyoming Nebraska Kansas Missouri Arkansas and Tennessee arrives in Nashville Tennessee October 20th 2011 David B Parrish David B Parrish 2010-06-04 Biography David Parrish born March 16 1957 to John and Lucille Parrish in Crescent City California the last of 13 children David took up guitar at age 10 by 13 was writing songs and by 16 was considered by many to be an up and coming guitar player and singer/songwriter David ™s Father died when he was 17 years old his Mother went to call family to let them know about her husband ™s death on her way to a phone she was struck and killed by a car on the streets of Albany Oregon on March 7th 1975 Many factors put David ™s music on hold but after waiting nearly 40 years he started writing again and playing music At the age of 57 David decided to walk the 2000 miles from his home town of Colville Washington to Nashville Tennessee leaving Spokane Washington August 1st of 2011 and after 84 straight days of walking David walked into Nashville Tennessee October 20th to end his 2000 mile journey Although it started out as a way to get his music heard it also was to raise money and awareness for the Wishing Star foundation The wishing star foundation grants wishes to children 3 to 21 with life threading illnesses During the course of the journey David got the title of Angel of hope a title that he holds very dear and is honored to carry it in any way he can to help sick children A new book titled Angel of hope 2000 miles to Nashville will be released in 2012 with a 12 song music C D of songs written about his journey Musicians from the United States Guitarists with guitars | ||||
