The downed trees were then cleaned up by the Fire Safe Council’s AmeriCorps crews, and then transported by Nevada County Roads over to Gold Country Community Services, who splits and delivers firewood to senior citizens. Projects like this are only possible when communities work together to take an active role in multiplying each other’s resources, to positively impact public lands in the direction desired by each community.
