At the hospital, police interviewed the parties present. The explanation of the child’s injuries was not consistent with the injuries sustained by the child. Upon further investigation it was learned that a male, who is the boyfriend of the child’s mother, may be the cause of the child’s injuries. The male, Joseph V. Mosso, was arrested and charged with the following: Joseph V. Mosso, Age 20, of 15 Elizabeth Street, 1st floor, Amsterdam, NY. Mosso was charged with Assault in the 2nd Degree a class D felony, for the assault of a child less than seven years old.
