Keywords: At the top of the highest peak, the wind was blowing hard—hard enough that my tripod needed two backpacks to weigh it down! Despite the challenging gusts, a butterfly flew upon the scene and landed on a small plant.
All the plants on these mountain peaks seem to be small, like miniature versions of the plants down below. They are hardy and withstand the wind, rain, and continuous sun exposure in the summertime.
I thought the strong gusts would blow the little butterfly clear off the side of the mountain, but the wind howled on and the butterfly kept its grip. Amazing!
