Here is Roger Puta's caption to his photo. "AT&SF Train 2, the San Francisco Chief and at the extreme left, cars from Train 76, the California Special at Clovis, NM on March 24, 1967." According to Jerry LaBoda's Passenger Car Photo Index ( passcarphotos.info/ ) in the interim the car belonged to Auto Train and Holland America. Ellis says, "It looks great from 50 feet but when you get close you see how Auto Train and then Holland America roughed up the stainless so paint would stick."
