I have seen the suffering of our people and I have seen what our politicians have done. I decided to join politics and make whatever contribution I can, to be part of the change that Somalis needs. I studied and worked in Somalia, I have the ambition that inspired me to join politics. The 30% quota is important because women are the backbone of our society. In numbers, it is estimated that women are more than 70% of Somali population. Both male and female live in this country. We can’t make any development if female are not represented in political decision making. Women understand many things better than men.
